Showcasing Innovation in France: Demonstration on Vineyards in Les Riceys

This spring, the SoilLifeBoats project proudly crossed borders to demonstrate our soil enhancement technology in one of the most iconic agricultural landscapes in Europe — the Champagne region of France.

Our team had the incredible opportunity to visit the prestigious vineyards in Les Riceys, a renowned area for high-quality Champagne production. The visit was more than symbolic — it was hands-on. We demonstrated our innovative soil amendments directly in grape-growing fields, where healthy, resilient soil is key to ensuring consistent vine growth and grape quality.

As part of the demonstration, we:

Collected baseline soil samples before application, to measure the initial status of soil properties,

Promoted and explained our Rock Cellulose Granules and NPK-impregnated willow wood sticks,

Shared insights on how these amendments can improve water retention, nutrient supply, and organic matter content in soils under increasing climate stress.

The demonstration in Les Riceys marks a major milestone for the project: extending our technology into viticulture, a sector that heavily depends on soil health for long-term sustainability and product quality.

We would like to sincerely thank our gracious hosts for their warm welcome and for the opportunity to showcase the potential of our LIFE project technology in such a prestigious setting. We look forward to monitoring the effects throughout the growing season and sharing the results with the wider community.

Stay tuned as we continue to bring innovation to diverse agricultural systems across Europe — from tulip fields to vineyards!
